At AMAXST, we are driving the future of sustainable energy. As a Field Service Technician , you will lead field operations on utility-scale energy storage projects across the country. From commissioning cutting-edge battery systems to troubleshooting inverters and ensuring top-tier safety compliance, your work will power the clean energy transition.

This role is up to 80% travel nationwide. Preferred candidates should reside in Texas, Massachusetts, California, or Arizona area and be comfortable working in a dynamic, remote-based field environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work on-site for battery energy storage (BESS) and Power Conversion System(PCS) installations and commissioning

• Conduct electrical testing and diagnostics on central/string inverters (AC & DC systems)

• Execute and oversee preventive maintenance projects

• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients to meet project deadlines and performance goals

• Drive job safety protocols, perform site assessments, and maintain QA/QC standards

• Provide feedback to engineering teams for design and performance improvements

• Supervise local labor during deployment phases and troubleshoot in real-time

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in energy storage, solar, or inverter systems

• Proficiency in electrical system troubleshooting

• Familiarity with OSHA 10/30 and other safety certifications is a plus

• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel independently

• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office, technical tools)

• Ability to lift 40–50 lbs and work flexible hours, including weekends when necessary

Physical/Work Environment

• Candidates must have a valid driver's license for at least a year. 

• Work possible rotating shifts (100% travel across the United States is required for this position).

• Prolong standing and working in ergonomic challenging positions.
